My 1st Day of November

Last year, I spent my first day of November staying alone at home. I was pregnant then, and J and his family went to the cemetery to visit their departed loved ones. My mother-in-law opted me to stay at home, you know old sayings about pregnancy.

But this time, my first day of November was spent with my family away from my two boys. MKJ is sick so J decided to take care of him while I was in the cemetery visiting my grandfather and Aunt Emma. I left him a stash of milk good enough for the hours I will be away. Leaving the house, I felt a little sadness and was bothered about how will MKJ be taken care of J.

Note: It is J's actually, first time of taking care MKJ while I'm out of the house. And I have no idea how it will go.

At the cemetery, I couldn't stop myself from looking at my watch and mobile phone. There's no text messages received and even phone calls. I wonder how my two boys are kept at that moment. After a few minutes, a text message from my husband popped out in my mobile phone which says:

Diaper change - check
Clothes - check
milk time - check
medicines - check
meal time - check
playtime - SUPER CHECK

My reaction, I super LAUGH!!! I cannot imagine how J did all of that. To give you a background, J was up to Manila almost every week, and could have bonded with MKJ on weekends, merely not exactly 24 hours. So, I was terribly amazed how J took care of MKJ.

And his secret? They just bonded, watched cartoons and played on and on. He is such a daddy figure.

On the other hand, I enjoyed my first day of November at the cemetery with my family. I had fun, just like a reunion.

How about you? What happened on your first day of November?

Mail Happy

Yesterday, I got a phone call from J. He told me that my long-awaited prize from US has arrived, and plus another one from a diaper company. MKJ and I were in Momsy's house so I've never knew they were coming.I got excited to go home to see what's in the mail.

And when I got home last night, I was super MAIL HAPPY.

Here are the two things I received yesterday.

My free Mcdo gift certificates from Drypers sealed in a congratulations envelope are fun! I am lucky to be one of those first 600 registrants in their Drypers active website. Cool, isn't it?

I've waited for this for almost a month, and the waiting is worth it! I got this as a prize from entering Golden Charm (a blogger from Canada) Blog giveaway. This is my fourth nursing cover, haha.

Super Mail Happy.

My super late birthday GIFT!

It's been almost 4 months when I write a post about what birthday gift I want from J. And all I want was a hair make-over. I was eyeing this salon that will open in a nearby mall within our city for I couldn't afford to go in Manila to have my hair done. Hassle it is, because I need to leave MKJ away from me, and do pumping while travelling. I chose to wait, and it took me 4 months to have my gift. And waiting is rewarding! Yessss!

It was expensive though, but my hair really needs to be done. It's been 21 months since I had my hair make-over  and waiting for that is totally worth it!

So you want to see my hair ha?

I lav eeeet!!!

I had my hair done at Tony and Jackey. They recently opened their branch at SM City Batangas.
So what say you?

When I got home, J was really surprised with how I look. He said, "Wow!!!"

Thanks J for the birthday gift. So sweet of you!

5 things I do when I get bored

Boredom is an ultimate no-no in my life. I don't want to see my days doing nothing but stare, look outside the window or even glance from time to time at the clock. I want a busy me-happy everyday, with lots of stuff to explore and discover.

So when I get bored, I usually see myself doing different things just to take boredom away.

1. Watching Movies and TV Shows. I am not a couch potato but I turn out to be one when I feel that boredom strikes. I love watching movies specifically about those that deal about chic-romance and fantasy. Good thing, J has lots of downloaded movie from the internet so I just head on to his portable hard disk and choose what nice movie to watch. On TV shows, I switch on music, food and fashion channels.

2. Internet Surfing. If there's an internet connection then that's the solution to a boring day. Check yahoo mails, Facebook notifications, Tweet, Shop & Blog-that's how simple Internet is to me! Sometimes, I also download MP3s for my iPhone and listening to music makes a boring-free day.

3. Food tripping. When I get bored, food is the greatest solution! I love to explore on cooking anything. I may not be a good cook, but I know some that are easy but yummy! If I feel lazy to cook, going to food houses is a must. I love eating and that really drives me. Pizza is my favorite! Who loves to eat anyway, I know all of you are!

4. Reading. But not books. I love to read magazines like that of Reader’s Digest. Such a simple mag but contains bits of stories that will surely touch one’s heart. Got bored? Subscribe to a one-year read of RD. I did it, yay!

5. Organizing stuffs. I love to see things in proper places-clothes properly folded, shoes in the shoe rack, dirty clothes on the dirty basket, etc. If it calls for a boring hour, I usually see myself doing a series of organization. First, on J’s stuffs, next is MKJ’s and last on mine. I will never get bored doing this nonstop as this looks good on my eyes.

So, what do you do when you get bored?

Long Time No See

Friends come and go. But these girls whom I met two years ago are my current friends. We were officemates, then resigned but still share personal lives with each other. We call ourselves, the WonderGirls. It is because we're wonderful and our friendship is.

It's been long time no see when we saw each others. Joan, the single lady studied Caregiver course, and Jhing has been busy with her 9month old baby. Likewise, I am like Jhing busy with MKJ.

Gladly, Jhing planned to meet us, and timingly, it's a celebration for two - our meet-up and Joan's birthday.
It's a Pizza treat and overflowing of Chikastories that day.
With Joan and Jhing
I had wonderful and mommy-like stories with Jhing. Her son is one month older than my boy. We shared our first time motherhood moments, her formula feeding and my breastfeeding success. Jhing breastfed for two months only and got amazed on how I purely breastfeed MKJ. I told her my secret. And that secret is YOU, yourself. I taught her that breastfeeding is Mother's choice supported with determination, confidence and motivation. Upon hearing all the stories behind my breastfeeding journey, she arms herself to breastfeed on her next baby. Great, isn't it?

On the other hand, I enjoyed sharing and giving pieces of advice on Joan's personal life. Friends are the people you can count on when problems are showing your way. And indeed, I found a friend in-need when I had a personal talk with her.

I had almost four hours of personal life sharing with my WonderGirls. I enjoyed (especially the PIZZA, hahaha) being with them and listening to their stories too.

Good thing too, I have supportive parents to take care of my boy when I am away.
Such a happy day.

How Transformers 3 DOTM made my Day.

J and I decided on a Saturday afternoon to watch Transformers. MKJ stayed in Momsy’s nook for a while for I can’t allow him to go with us inside the movie house. We were a bit late for the movie, and there are so many people eager to watch. The movie is very powerful compared to the previous ones. I liked much Megan Fox to that of Rose Huntington. But I really like the mini-dresses worn by Rosie in the movie. The movie is very long and captured, but that didn't make me fall asleep. I really liked it. However, I cannot forget this movie because of the unlucky things we end up from watching.
Rosie Huntington
  • ·         We watched in the balcony area, 5th row seat. My eyes are juggling to receive all the radiation from the screen. Teary eyed.
  • ·         Since we were a bit late, I had no time to buy snack. Good thing J bought Starbucks frap, Mocha. That made me stay.
  • ·         People are so noisy, I wonder if I’m in a wet market. Haha.
  • ·         After watching, we immediately rushed home for I didn’t leave extra milk for MKJ. While on a hurry, I got my sandal’s strap broken. Poor me. No sandals, no money to buy.

I asked J if I could buy a new one since that pair of sandals was bought over 1.5 years ago. And this is his answer: “Wala tayong budget for that.” Oh no! Poor me, poor me!

I end up the night not making him pansin and kibo.

This is how T3 DOTM made my day.

Bored on a Sunday Evening

J slept early at around 7:30 in the evening. MKJ too. Seeing them sleeping makes me bored. So instead of looking at them and wait for my eyes to fall for sleep, I decided to watch a movie on my laptop.

On the screen: Ondine 2010.

At the start, I am not interested with the title so I go over on the scenes. Okay, this is a must-see.

The story is clever, full of wit. The girl is smart and the thought of the actions will let you think far from imagination. A good movie.

In fact, I learned a new word. Selkie - - a seal woman. What a nice name for a baby girl. Hahaha.

An overdue post: My 26th birthday

This post was almost a month overdue. Actually, it’s not really on my plan to blog about the things I did on my birthday but since I am blogging about the encounters in my life, okay, I will right now.

There is nothing much exciting on my 26th birthday. Although I planned to have a hair make-over at Tony & Jackey, it didn’t happen because it is not open yet at SM Batangas. I have no plans of going to other branches because I don’t think it’s really important. I can wait until December. I still love how my hair looks.

I had three important persons whom I celebrated my 26th birthday.

I had a date with GOD. Early morning of June 10 I visited the church with MKJ to pray and light candles. I prayed for good health, successful financial plans, love for my family and love for Earth. The lighted candles are for myself, MKJ, J, in-laws, family and Earth. I always see to it that church is the most prioritized place I always visit on my birthday.

I went home. Yes, home is where I was when I was not yet married. My mom cooked spaghetti for me and I bought a gallon of ice cream. I also made refrigerator bars which I read from the blog Wifely Steps. If you want to know how to make it, please go here. Celebrating your birthday with your loved ones is LOVE. I had fun!

Lastly, I had a pizza TREAT with J at Yellowcab. I love PIZZA and it is definitely my comfort food. I ate more pizza than J and I really enjoyed it. And because it is my birthday, we took home another box of Pizza.

My birthday was just an ordinary day but I celebrated it in very fruitful and special way.

I'm not yet done shaving!

While Moty is sound asleep at the hammock under our bed, I decided to take a bath. It's been days since I had a full bath and now I want to enjoy relaxing scrubs and bubbles inside our bathroom. I started massaging and shampooing my hair then opened the door and looked after Moty. Wow! Sleepy head. Next, scrub, scrub and scrub, until I noticed that my legs need to be shaved. Before that, I checked again if Moty is still sleeping. And again, he is so good to be asleep. One leg finished. Second leg--eeeek!!!!! I heard Moty screaming out so loud to get out of the hammock!
Moty reaching out of the hammock :D
When I saw him, I had no choice but to stop shaving because his head was already out of the hammock. Oh my I'm not yet done shaving! Look at those legs of mine!
Look at my legs! :D
