Sleep tight my Baby

Putting a baby to sleep is a challenge to me. Remembering those days when MKJ was still 2 months old, I had a very unpleasant feeling putting him to sleep. It was like putting him to sleep will take 2 hours in a max, and suddenly he will just sleep for more than five minutes, and hello Mommy, I am wide awake and hungry again!. How bad is that? In Filipino, I call it tulog-manok.

But as months go by, I discovered how to put MKJ in a sleep, sound and long enough to endure me-hours. I am super extending my gratitude to our laundrywoman who advised me to let him sleep on a hammock under our double deck bed, and of course breastfeeding him longer helped a lot too.

Putting MKJ to sleep is something I called relief from crazy mommyhood days. And when the baby is sleeping happily, for more than 2 hours, I can endure hours of me-time.

Me-time #1. Internet galore. Internet is something I get busy with when MKJ is sleeping. I read personal blogs about motherhood and research about things which interest me. I also find time to shop online. Internet is important, I guess for new moms like me.

Me-time #2. Looooooooong Shower. After putting him to sleep and settle him in his hammock, I hurriedly rushed to our bathroom to experience the coldness of water for several minutes. It is the only time I can meet the shower and it is really a relaxing feeling. If few minutes permit, I still have time to clean the bathroom.

Me-time #3. Household chores. And this include laundry, ironing and cleaning the room. What a great way to multi-task while the baby is sleeping!

Me-time #4. Vanity galore. Manicure and pedicure it is! Sometimes, I do a personal hot oil on my own or eyebrow plucking. Great, right?

Me-time #5. Sleeping. Sleeping on a me-time? Yes I am! Who needs sleep when the baby is asleep? This is such the most relaxing time of my me-time. I need to energize and recharge on the hours when he is wide awake.

How about you mommies, what do you do when your baby is sleeping?

He is just so SWEET

If I may ask you, "when was the last time you received a sweet quote from your husband?"

Mine was just last Monday evening, right after we had a long talk over mobile phone.

If I could remember those days, when we we're exchanging messages of quotable quotes, I was so happy. The feeling is so teenager, haha. And when we got married, the quotes were then changed into messages of daily reminders/conversation/updates.

Until, I received this sweet text message from him....

Note: J is so sweet, but most of the time, privately.

What say you?
I read it with a smiling face, bright eyes. The feeling is soooo kilig to the bones.

P.S. Will blog about soon why J calls me 'Jolibear'. Haha.

Oh My! It's Tony and Jackey!

Few more weeks to go and it's my birthday. I am thinking of gift that I will ask my husband to give to me, and then suddenly while strolling in the mall, guess what?! It's Tony and Jackey opening at SM City Batangas on June 2011! Isn't it so sweet to have a hair make-over on your birthday? Definitely sweeter than chocolates and roses. Oh My! I couldn't wait for my birthday. And since, I am exclusively breastfeeding Matt, this is a demand to you my dear husband, so be ready! :-)

See you on June!

Movie Date: Fast Five

It was last November 2010, few weeks before I gave birth to Matt, was my last sneak in to the movie house. The movie then was the first part of Harry Potter 7. After that, no movie dates but just has to stay at home and take care of my baby.

Until one afternoon, my husband asked me for a movie date and I quickly said Yes!

First movie of the year: Fast Five!!!

I'm not fond of watching movies like this; mine's favorites are more on drama and fantasy. But after watching, it's really amazing! I came across to a thought that I wanted to watch the previous Fast & the Furious movies. Haha!

Fast Five that stars Vin Diesel (Dom), Paul Walker (Brian) and Jordana Brewster (Mia) is a blast compared to the previous Fast and the Furious movies. The action is exciting and brawny, peerless and confident. I am just a little bit disappointed on how Dwayne Johnson starred in the movie. (He doesn’t just fit in to his character, haha!) But then, the movie, as I will rate is 9/10. What a cool movie!

It was such an amazing movie date, exciting yet relaxing despite of those sleepless nights with Matt.

Not into Writing

Not into Writing.
I am a Communication Arts Graduate, and I am not-into-writing galore. I never write. When I was in college, I am just obliged to write assignments or projects to be submitted for school. But beyond that, I find writing not my forte.
And so, after four years, I think, that will be changing. I want to give it a try. And now, this is my start.

2009, 25, 2010
It was in the year 2009 when I entered SM Supermalls, my ideal company to work for was on overlong due before I got hired. If I could remembered, I started applying and submitting my resume online way back 2007 and fortunately I got hired as a Marketing officer in SM Batangas, which is near to my home. The job is fun yet toxic. My work dwells on the malls’ events highlighting the thought that SM Batangas should have a hundred of people inside apart from any other malls in Batangas. I got to meet different artists and enjoyed being a semi-VIP. The dark side, it ruins my clock. I never came home early; work hours extend until 10 PM and with overtime no pay while I was on sleep. Duh!
Good thing, there’s this guy whom I met. Oops, let me change that. Stare. Yes, we stare every time we’re in the office. He started first and then I’ll follow. But to me, at first, is annoying. Days came by, and working is boring. I need to look for something challenging and enjoying said my father for me to stay in the company. And guess what, it is the guy who made it for me. Months passed by and I get thrilled and chimed when this guy passes behind me. It’s just that, “who’s that guy, I got crush on him!” I became a semi-stalker in the office. Stares changed into smiles and before 2009 ended, we had our first office/lunch date inside the mall-Mcdonalds.
2010, 25. This start of the year is somehow a twist of fate. The guy broke up with his girlfriend, I too. Then what happened next, we fall in love and started the year with kilig moments. I believe in fate, God’s fate to be exact, and that fate led us to become one. I got married this year, became pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy all in a same year – 2010.
At 25, I became a wife to Jef, and a breastfeeding mom to Kier.
