A Letter to my Men

How time flies so fast and I couldn't describe how blessed I am to have 2 wonderful boys in my life. They both celebrated their birthday last November and that is magical. Matt was born on the 23rd while Jef was on the 25th. Everytime I tell people of their birthday, they always throw me a joke that I should have waited on the 25th to let Matt came out for them to have same birthdays. And I always laugh out loud.

Anyway, November will always be a happy month so I want to share a letter to my Boys so that they can always remember that November is the month I am really thankful for.

Dear Matt,

You're two years old now. As you read this letter from me your Nana (Nanay) as you always call me, I want you to know that you are everything I wished for. Everytime I browsed your pictures, I still can't believe that I have raised you for two years already, time's gone so fast and your totally nearing big boy now. I loved you dearly as a baby kept and embraced in my arms. Now that you're grown little by little, I want you to be as good as you can be, live in your childhood dreams and build yourself as how God spiritually created us.

Dear Jef,
You are actually four years older than me but don't worry darling, we looked as if we're of the same ages. In short, you looked also 27. LOL. Your being older to me is a gift for bringing up the maturity in me. I have been childish for some reasons but hey, I thank you for always showing me the positivity beyond my immaturity. As I always say and will forever do, I am happy to have you as my husband and best friend. You never fail to cheer me up when I am stressed and depressed, and those pizzas every Friday are well enough to show how much you care for my little thoughts of Joy. You know what, I like to say that life is like a pizza, full of toppings and you can add different types of sauce. The toppings are the people you have shared your slice and the sauce is your memories. Eeeek! How funny realization is that right? Haha. Thank you for our pizza-like life, I enjoy eating it with you. I love pizza so I love you!

Love lots,
Julieanne

My very First

I've experienced mixed emotions when the time came I have to be away in the city and will spend time at the beach for three days. Yes, it is my very first and I couldn't explain the feeling. It's mixed - excited and sad because it will be my first time to be long away to my little one and our first time to experience a real getaway.

The plane ride.

This is my very first time to ride an airplane. The feeling wasn't good at first. I'm nervous and all I could imagine was a scene riding on Anchors Away in Enchanted Kingdom. Haha. I got dizzy at the last few minutes before landing but the view outside the window took me to take away the feeling of awkwardness. It's my first time so I really treasured every view I could see outside the window. Hehehe.

The beach vacation.

I've been to different parts of the country when I worked as a Brand Assistant for events. I was there mostly for work. But for vacation, this is my very first. When husband told me he got free airfare tickets, Kalibo was the first thing came to our minds, and then the beach. Oh Boracay I must say!  It was really worth it to take a vacation at the beach such as in Boracay.

The swimsuit.

Me wearing my Ilovekoi Miramar Maillot
Actually, this is my very first to show off in a swimsuit while on the beach. I didn't care if I'm fat and the others are not. I just want to be uniformed and relaxed like that of other belles in Boracay. I said to myself that Boracay is a treasured beach so I really spent a penny for my I love koi swimwear.

The breast pump.

The goodness of Unimom Mezzo Manual Pump
After 1 year & 6 months of not seeing my breast pump, we're reunited again in the island of Boracay! Hahaha. I have plans of weaning M already but I don't want to swim with engorged breasts so  I pumped twice in a day when I was there and I was surprised with the output my pump and breasts did.

J and MKJ on a Wheel Alignment Day

I love how my two boys bond with each other. J is into cars and he wants our little boy to like them too. Last weekend, they were out to a wheel alignment schedule and I took some cute pictures!
Daddy, look at Nanay. She's taking pictures of us.
Daddy, why are you not looking at the camera?! Smileeee!!!
Are our car done already Daddy?
Looks like my little boy enjoyed while eating biscuit! :-)

My 1st Day of November

Last year, I spent my first day of November staying alone at home. I was pregnant then, and J and his family went to the cemetery to visit their departed loved ones. My mother-in-law opted me to stay at home, you know old sayings about pregnancy.

But this time, my first day of November was spent with my family away from my two boys. MKJ is sick so J decided to take care of him while I was in the cemetery visiting my grandfather and Aunt Emma. I left him a stash of milk good enough for the hours I will be away. Leaving the house, I felt a little sadness and was bothered about how will MKJ be taken care of J.

Note: It is J's actually, first time of taking care MKJ while I'm out of the house. And I have no idea how it will go.

At the cemetery, I couldn't stop myself from looking at my watch and mobile phone. There's no text messages received and even phone calls. I wonder how my two boys are kept at that moment. After a few minutes, a text message from my husband popped out in my mobile phone which says:

Diaper change - check
Clothes - check
milk time - check
medicines - check
meal time - check
playtime - SUPER CHECK

My reaction, I super LAUGH!!! I cannot imagine how J did all of that. To give you a background, J was up to Manila almost every week, and could have bonded with MKJ on weekends, merely not exactly 24 hours. So, I was terribly amazed how J took care of MKJ.

And his secret? They just bonded, watched cartoons and played on and on. He is such a daddy figure.

On the other hand, I enjoyed my first day of November at the cemetery with my family. I had fun, just like a reunion.

How about you? What happened on your first day of November?
